Course description

The 2023 edition will begin at 6:15 AM in the Shady Grove Metro south parking lot. From there you'll be transported to the starting location at the Fallsgrove Bethesda Bagels location (Official race transportation will be provided by UltraVan).

The journey begins at 6:30 AM and takes you on a journey to all five Bethesda Bagels, just like the five boroughs of the NYC marathon!!! The order will be Fallsgrove, Wildwood, Bethesda, Rosslyn, Navy Yard. The aid stations close at 2 PM so there will be a hard cutoff.

After you complete the race the metro will be waiting at the Navy Yard-Ballpark station to take you swiftly back to Shady Grove.

The 1st Annual Bagel Marathon started at Fallsgrove (opening at 6:30 AM) and ran to Wildwood (8.2 mi), Bethesda Row (12.7 mi), Rosslyn (20.7 mi), and Navy Yard (26.2 mi, closing at 2:00 PM). The Scooped Half Marathon started at Bethesda Row and the Scooped & Toasted 9k started at Rosslyn, both finishing at Navy Yard.
